The first thing I noticed about your t-shirt quilt tutorial were the KU shirts. I’ve been saving t-shirts to try this, and will most likely one day have one made with all KU shirts-my daughter is a junior @ KU and plays in the marching band! So, saving your tutorial to my favorites, and putting this project on my to-do list.
That’s wonderful! T-shirt quilts really aren’t as daunting as they appear. Just remember that interfacing is your friend! Best of luck to your daughter at KU!

Love your blog. I am attempting a t-shirt quilt after studying your entries, and I am very excited! I have a little problem-I accidentally ordered fusible fleece from amazon. will it be too puffy, or is it workable for a newbie like me? Thank you in advance!
That sounds like it could be a little too fluffy. I’d find some thinner fusible interfacing. I’m glad you’re giving it a shot! Thank you for reading!

Thank you for reading! I am so glad you’re attempting a t-shirt quilt! I would imagine the fusible fleece would be too thick for t-shirt quilt purposes. I’d check into other uses for it! I bet it could be really neat in another project! I use fusible interfacing and it works so very well.

I have made several t-shirt quilts and thought I would share a step I think you might like. I iron on the interfacing BEFORE I cut out the front–then you do not have to be so darned careful with the knit material. You might waste a tiny bit of it but it sure is a lot easier! Yours look wonderful!
